Dr. Daniel Pompa-To Pull or Not to Pull, Part 1

Course Recap

Spectrum Dental Society hosted Dr. Daniel Pompa for his course “To Pull or Not to Pull-Part one,” an in-depth look at modern decision-making for compromised teeth. Dr. Pompa walked us through a systematic approach to diagnosing endo/perio lesions, identifying true long-term prognostic indicators, and understanding when tooth preservation is predictable—and when extraction or even implant removal is the better option. Attendees learned updated success rates, practical radiographic techniques, regenerative considerations, and how bone physiology, biotype, and surgical planning shape today’s treatment outcomes. The evening was packed with case-based insights and evidence-based strategies our members can apply immediately in practice.

As always thank you to our wonderful sponsors: Henry Schein, BioHorizons, PNC Bank, and CS & Metals Protection Agency!
